Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Minister of Punjab stated a few days ago that the Indian intelligence is behind the ongoing tragic incidents in Pakistan, including the dud of Karachi on Ashora Day. Statement was meaningful in several ways, when a journalist dug into and asked him for any reason behind such a blunt saying, he replied that when India can blame us for every calamity in their country than why should we stay behind.
Beside some negative aspects of his thoughts there are several hidden messages as well, in fact they are not so hidden even.
If we just go through past few years of the combine history of the two countries we can see many attempts of negotiations aimed to bridging the widening void, but after every such endeavor we just pulled back to our cats and dog business. One of such new round of bilateral talks have begun in New Delhi and during the first official conversation between the two countries, Indian external affairs minister SM Krishna meet his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi and asked him to expedite the probe to bring to justice terrorists linked to the 26/11 Mumbai massacre.
Krishna and Qureshi also reviewed the status of the trial in Pakistan of some of the accused and proclaimed offenders in the terror strike that killed 166 Indians and foreigners. Conveying his New Year wishes to Qureshi, Krishna underlined the need to bring the perpetrators of the attack to justice expeditiously. He said India should be kept informed of the progress of the trial, the external affairs ministry reported.
Krishna asked Pakistan "to unravel the full conspiracy behind the Mumbai terrorist attack and act on the leads provided and available in Pakistan", the ministry said in a statement.
Krishna said India should be kept informed about the investigation. It seems Mr. Minister is moving so traditionally and saying everything written in his JD.
Although its completely fine to go for updates in any undergoing probation but I think before going further one must be un polar and don’t treat the other country as inherited enemy, we are now 60 plus and we are no more kids to start skirmishing over pity things.
Pakistan has recently released over 100 Indian fishermen and also willing to release over 500 Indian fishermen and 400 Indian fishing boats in Pakistan's custody. Such steps can create the environment of trust and forgiveness and will also help us to see beyond mist of misunderstands,
I think we go to start line and think again what we are fighting for we wont get any meaningful goal except the capture of a little more land and little more people, even that in the times when world is removing its borders and showing no more interest in invading land masses.
Now, If it is our tradition to repeat the mistakes everyone did half century ago and learnt their lesson, than its fine, we should carry on and keep throwing stone on each other or for better lessons we must fire few nukes, and if we think after the lapse of 60 years that now we are mature enough to understand our betterment and gained sufficient foresightedness than we must stop blaming each other over the things like 26/11. Both the countries are under the worst circumstances in the terms of finances and resources they have ever faced, and this is the time for counter strike but against each other but aligned with our common enemies because we are on the same side.
