Charlie Sheen will stand trial for allegedly abusing his wife,
Brooke Mueller, on July 2. The troubled 44-year-old star was arrested while on vacation with his wife in Aspen, Colorado, on Christmas last year. Brooke told police he put a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her, but the
Two and a Half Men star has pleaded not guilty to charges of menacing (a felony), criminal mischief and assault. Brooke has said that she wants the charges dropped, and her lawyer, Yale Galanter, confirmed on March 15 that this was still the case. Charlie, who has battled drugs in the past, entered rehab a few weeks ago, temporarily halting to filming of his CBS sitcom, but work on the show is expected to resume today. The couple has 1-year-old twins.
